It’s no surprise that NFL players are bigger than the average man, but just how much bigger are they? The chart below shows every currently active NFL players’ height and weight. We’ve also broken down the stats by a few notable positions. The lineman are obviously the biggest men on the field as their positions demand size. Running backs are typically shorter and heavier than wide receivers. QB’s are typically pretty big guys too, but nowhere near as big as the tight ends.
We did a similar chart for NBA players. The difference with the NFL is typically height is not as important of a factor, whereas weight plays a more important role for certain positions.
